Clarissa & Jeremy - March 10, 2012

We were so excited to begin our 2012 Wedding Season in March with our Portable Slab at Clarissa and Jeremy's reception at one of our FAVE-o-rite venues,Butterfly Gap Retreat!

Clarissa and Jeremy first met us last September when we were serving atAnna and Garrett'swedding at the Norris Tea Room. After talking a bit, the couple knew they wanted to includeMarble Slab Creameryin their celebration, but our Portable Slab was already booked for their date. So what to do?

After consulting with Butterfly Gap on other possible open dates, and confirming that our Portable Slab was available, they moved their wedding up to March although they had originally planned to get married later in the Spring/Summer.

Elegant Displays for Marble Slab Creamery Sundae Bars

Off-season has given me the opportunity to  experiment with some new serve ware for our Marble Slab Creamery catering events. I'm loving our newest display for Ice Cream Socials or Sundae Bars that includes these pretty glass bowls and rod iron risers.

These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago byExpressive Moments Photography at the Wedding Row Open House event hosted by Lisa Foster Floral Design, Wedding Wonderland, and White Table. For the event we featured a simple Ice Cream Social with Sweet Cream ice cream and introduced a couple of new topping options, Balsamic Strawberries and Sweet Toasted Coconut, along with an assortment of other candies.

Nikkiah and Jeffrey, graduates of The University of Tennessee, live and work in the Washington, D.C. area and met through UT's Young Alumni Association in the Capitol. Funny how it is that you can be in the same town for four years and never meet until you move away!

: Nikkiah attended one of the open house events in Knoxville this Spring, and after returning to D.C. decided that our Portable Slab would be awesome as Jeffrey's groom's cake. The portable slab was set up in the parlor at Fox Den (notice the "Fox Den" painting).
